BIO - Agustin González Goytía
Agustín González Goytía was born in Tucumán in 1981. His painting is characterized by the inclusion of fragmented, sketched narrative figures or scenes, rendered in graphite or ballpoint pen. He brings to the forefront something he has long left unresolved: the tension between the space of representation and the representation of space.
Concealed behind a certain dreamlike falseness, stimulated by his palette and figures resolved in strokes, his work is rational and carefully planned.
He holds a degree in Fine Arts from the National University of Tucumán and continued his studies in the Artists Program at the Di Tella University Department of Arts. He has held several solo exhibitions, participated in numerous group shows, and won national awards.
